Benign breast disease may be classified into non proliferative lesions (simple cyst, complex cyst), proliferative lesions –without atypia (ductal hyperplasia, fibroadenoma, intraductal papilloma, sclerosing adenoma, radial scars) or atypical hyperplasia (atypical ductal hyperplasia, atypical lobular hyperplasia).
