The diffuse parenchymal lung diseases (DPLDs) ,previously called interstitial lung diseases, are a heterogeneous group of conditions associated with diffuse thickening of the alveolar walls with inflammatory cells and exudates ,granulomas ,alveolar hemorrhage and fibrosis.
