Lecture on Acute Appendicitis


Appendix is a worm like intestinal diverticulum starting from the blind end of the cecum in the right lower  part of the abdomen and ending in a blind extremity. It is located at or near McBurney’s point. Appendicitis (or epityphlitis) is condition characterized by inflammation of the appendix.
